No age restriction for admission into LL.B 3&5 Years Course
Admission Process
The candidate can seek admission into LL.B/B.L Degree Course in two ways;
1.Through Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET)
2.Through Management Quota without Law Common Entrance Test
1. Admission through Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET)
LAWCET is designed and conducted by one of the recognized university in the State of Andhra Pradesh under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad (APSCHE) to assess the candidate's eligibility for LL.B/B.L Degree course. Generally LAWCET will be conducted in the month of May every year.
Eligibility for LAWCET
3 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course: The candidates for 3 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course should have passed any Degree of a recognized university with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the universities concerned imparting law course with 45% of aggregate marks. (44.5% and above will be treated as 45%) A candidate who has 45 % or more in B.Ed or in the post graduate degree is also eligible to seek admission into Law Course even if he/she secures less than 45% at Degree level. Application for LAWCET can be had from college on payment of prescribed fee by the Convener, LAWCET.
5 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course: The candidates for 5 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course should have passed two year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the university concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, AP with 45% of aggregate marks (44.5% and above will be treated as 45%)
There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying examination for 3 year/5 year law course in favour of the candidates belonging to SC/ST. A candidate appearing for the above qualifying examinations may also take the Law Common Entrance Test in anticipation of results. In case of such students who appear for the entrance test, pending the result of the qualifying examination, their entry shall be subject to they securing a pass in the said qualifying examinations.
2. Admission through Management Quota without Law Common Entrance Test
3 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course: The candidates for 3 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course should have passed any Degree of a recognized university with 50% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the universities concerned imparting law course with 45% of aggregate marks. (44.5% and above will be treated as 45%) A candidate who has 45 % or more in B.Ed or in the post graduate degree is also eligible to seek admission into Law Course even if he/she secures less than 45% at Degree level.
5 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course: The candidates for 5 Year LL.B/B.L Degree Course should have passed two year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the university concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, AP with 50% of aggregate marks (44.5% and above will be treated as 45%)
Application for admission into LL.B/B.L through management quota without entrance examination can be had from Anantha College of Law, Tirupati on payment of prescribed fee. .
Scholarships
Financial assistance is provided to SC/ST/BC and Minority candidates by the concerned Social Welfare Departments of Andhra Pradesh Governments.
